New York City was hit by the nation’s largest coronavirus jail outbreak to date this week, with at least 38 people testing positive at the notorious Rikers Island complex and nearby facilities — more than half of them incarcerated men, the board that oversees the city’s jail system said Saturday.

Another inmate, meanwhile, became the first in the country to test positive in a federal jail.

In a letter to New York’s criminal justice leaders, Board of Correction interim chairwoman Jacqueline Sherman described a jail system in crisis.

She said in the last week, board members learned that 12 Department of Correction employees, five Correctional Health Services employees, and 21 people in custody at Rikers and city jails had tested positive for the coronavirus.

The DCPD are shutting down all of the streets and bridges around the Tidal Basin and National Mall because so many freaking people are walking around down there looking at the Cherry Blossoms. It’s about as bad as if the Cherry Blossom Festival was actually going on.

The only thing that I can think of that is close to this level of stupidity and lack of self awareness are the assholes who decided they were just going to run the New York Marathon after Sandy. I’m probably wrong but that was the first thought I had.

Almost fought an old man at the grocery store this morning.

The dumbass kept touching everything in the check-out line (gum, jerky, chips, drinks) but he wasn't buying any of it. 

I told him to stop touching everything and he told me it was his right to shop.  I told him that he can shop with his eyes and not with his crusty hands.  He shut up and stood in line with his hands in his pockets.

I'm not freaking around with these old people right now.  Everyone is being stupid, but the elderly are being just as ignorant as young people.
