As one of the replies to that tweet says: maybe we're the virus and this is the Earth's vaccine.
I would feel more at peace if that was the answer instead of someone eating bat soup
South Korea has aggressively tested cases of COVID-19 and won praise for its handling of the pandemic. The country's basketball league now has games scheduled at the end of this month after a 4-week long hiatus.
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating
Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about
I know that coronaviruses (viri? virii? virae?) are believed to have their origins in the bat population, but I thought that the bat soup as cause of this theory had been dispelled?
We fucked up
The source of the coronavirus is believed to be a "wet market" in Wuhan which sold both dead and live animals including fish and birds. Such markets pose a heightened risk of viruses jumping from animals to humans because hygiene standards are difficult to maintain if live animals are being kept and butchered on site. Typically, they are also densely packed. The animal source of the latest outbreak has not yet been identified, but the original host is thought to be bats. Bats were not sold at the Wuhan market but may have infected live chickens or other animals sold there. Bats are host to a wide range of zoonotic viruses including Ebola, HIV and rabies.
If you're going to the hospital for a covid-19 test make sure you bring with you a valid form of identification along with a printout of your IMDB page and/or your Basketball Reference stats
Kinda like the only time I hear about the Koch Brothers is from Bernie's Bros talking about how they saw how evil they are on Rachel Maddow while working on their liberal arts degrees?
People who believe in the strawman you just invented need to mainline a stranger's snot ASAP

Just got word from the boss. Getting moved to part-time until April, with a determination to be made at that point. Considering that I've got enough saved to ride this out for a little bit, and absolutely no leverage in terms of trying to find another job at this point, I have nothing else to do besides accept it, work within the new world for the next couple of weeks and hope against hope that this gets better. There are plenty of people who are way worse off than I. I've already discussed with my wife the very real possibility that we need to put the house up, get off of this island and go back to Jersey.
