I've already reached the point of being annoyed that sports radio on my way to work this morning was talking about Kobe and not tonight's hockey.

Because you didn’t care about basketball during his reign
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away

This is true. I feel like I have similar views over the death of pretty much every famous person though, there are some I like more than others but none whose death would affect me personally or make me want to listen to endless hours of tributes.

Too much of anything after a while turns you off, especially something tragic like this. It's not like it's a developing situation you want to stay with and see what happens. Part of this is it's so sudden and shocking. You can make the case that Michael Jackson was a bigger star but nobody was real surprised when he ODd, still it's all we heard about for a week.
So it turns out, Italian Seafood was right an everyone can go freak themselves.

They’re playing his final game, 60 points, on ESPN right now

My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

Depends how much thought you gave him when he was playing.

I hated those Laker teams, not just because of him, but I was glad the year they beat Boston and thought he was good for the game. Being a Dodger fan, he's around the team a lot, so a lot of the players I follow on Twitter and Instagram were pretty emotional. Kobe just sent Belinger a congrats video for his MVP the other night. Now I coach girls the same age as his daughter, so that part hit home a it for me. Obviously we don't helicopter to the games.
Hearing about his daughter made it much worse for me tbh.

2:16 left and they’re down 10. He has 47. MVP chants as he steps to the FT line.

Idk why but the first time I got sad was watching him dapping up all the scrubs at the end of the bench and how absolutley grateful they were just to be near him
