Honestly the Mets might have dodged a bullet here. He did well on the Lindor trade but a clearly a pathetic loser

That was in the works for a while before he was hired. I'm not sure how much credit he deserves for that.

Part of redemption involves you actually facing consequences. I’m struggling to decide what percent is trying to convince people to ignore that vs. the percent that is honestly stupid enough to not understand it.

The Mets will receive RHPs Sean Reid-Foley, Yennsy Diaz and Josh Winckowski from the Blue Jays in the Matz deal, per source.

Diaz is the Blue Jays’ No. 26 prospect, per @MLBPipeline, while Winckowski is No. 27.

The Matz trade doesn’t mean that Trevor Bauer will definitely be signing with the Mets, but it certainly opens the door wider. Mets now have an additional $5.2 million of payroll space, not to mention a vacancy in the rotation.
