What's the reason that the Jets have been very efficient on the opening drive yet usually suck after? Obviously I get that the first drive is scripted. But does this mean players have no freaking idea what they're doing after that? Opposing coaches making adjustments and Gase not?

I feel like it has to be mostly the former, as we've seen so much confusion on offense

I think the offense has looked good the last few weeks. When the Jets don't have sacks/penalties, they move the ball well. But every time we get off schedule, we can't recover.

I think when our OL is as shitty as it is, it will be hard to sustain consistent success.

It doesn't help that we just give up on 3rd and long half the time.

If we can't block them, then I'm OK being conservative against an inept offense like Washington. 

Play the field position game and hope that Haskins either makes a mistake or can't move the ball...giving it right back to us.

Do you think it's because the first drive is scripted?

It's 100% scripted.  I bet Gase scripts the first 20 plays or more. 

They are going off of what they've seen on film.  Washington is going to show mostly the same looks against certain formations.

Forcing them to punt from their own endzone is a calculated gamble that Gase won. 

Hell of a punt by Washington, but we got it back basically where we had it at the end of our last possession. 

If Haskins keeps floating it to the flat like that, someone is going to house one of his passes.

I think it's a reflex for corners to pose or celebrate anytime they make any play.  They can't control it.
