ESPN obtained the full arrest report for Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa's DUI charge.

"Do you see my ring?" La Russa said to the arresting officer. "I'm a Hall of Famer baseball person. I'm legit. I'm a Hall of Famer, brother."

The Miami Marlins are hiring Kim Ng as their new general manager, making her Major League Baseball's first female and first Asian American GM, the team announced Friday.

Ng has most recently served as MLB's senior vice president of baseball operations for the past nine years. She has also served as assistant general manager for the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers.

from what i understand there are different 'tiers' to the structure of the new mets FO, with cohen at the top, sandy as 'president', and a 'president of baseball operations'??? sort of role underneath that. i think that's a situation where sandy and theo could both be in the FO at the same time

i think theo would fit in very well with the way cohen wants to start running the team, with sandy being an advisor and a voice that resonates with the more 'conservative' end of the moneyball mantra. i hope he considers coming to the mets but if he really needs a year, i think we'll look at him very strongly next year

it feels weird reading about the mets actually having interest in the top/most expensive FA pool

I am happy that my Mets fan brothers get to correctly experience being a fan of a big market team.

One of theos reported problems was that he didn't like the restrictions the Ricketts placed on him.

He wants, and will very easily get, total control.

Sent from fire adam gase.

Tampa Bay star Randy Arozarena was detained in Mexico after an incident in which he allegedly tried to take his daughter from her mother and assaulted the woman’s father, sources told ESPN, confirming a Yucatán Ahora report. MLB’s Department of Investigations is looking into it.
