He saved a TD on a Zeke run too. He’s turned into a really good player (with the obvious asterisk).
On the field, you could have made a case Maye was just as good as Adams as a rookie. Adams is far more boisterous, so he would draw more attention to himself, but Maye was very good, too. Last year, he couldn't stay healthy at all.

I guess the question is when do we trade Adams or (more likely) Maye.

Surely you can't invest that much money into the safety position

That’s a long way off. Their deals are due in separate years and Several things can affect them including injuries. Maye has one more year of control left and it might be best to lock him up this summer while that injury plagued year is still on the table for lowering his cost.
Need a new one for a new board...

I saw shocked upon rewatching how many plays Maye was in on. He was fantastic Sunday as was Adams. If Moseley comes back, the middle of the defense won't be a veritable party for the other team.

Not really that far away. Maye has one year of control left after this season, so you either extend him or trade him after this season.

If he's ammendable to a middle of the road safety contract great we keep both. If not, then you have to seriously consider trading him instead of letting him play out his rookie deal and walk. Unless you'd be okay with him playing on a 12 ish million franchise tag the following year

Gotta be realistic. Adams is looking at 5 years 75-80 million likely.

Can we afford to to spend around 25 million a year on two safeties.

Regardless after this season we need to have a plan for Maye

Though I suppose it's possible he plays good enough to be worth the franchise tag, buying us another year to figure it out

Keeping talent under the cap is a welcome problem I'm more than excited to worry about.

As opposed to our usual thing of our talent becoming a disappointment and walking after their rookie deal.
