The league should be embarrassed with the way it handled this. If this was JAG they would have been suspended before the season started. Even the fuckin Pats did the right thing. Unbelievable.

Did they pay him his $9M or did they void his guarantees?

I'm sure this will be fought over in courts arbitrators etc for months.

He hasn't been formally charged or disciplined and they knew about all this excrement before they signed him so who knows. He certainly has a leg to stand on

insanity

No.
Considering that this happened with his Oakland contract that he may have legitimately voided his contract, I'd be surprised if this wasn't far more complicated since this contract had a good chunk guaranteed too

The contract either has info to void the guaranteed money or it doesnt.

Contract language can be vague.

Apparently the clause the patriots will use is in Browns case is that his behavior undermines respect for the team. That's not a black and white term.

That said sportrac and Larry brown sports are reporting all the Patriots will likely end up oweing him is 2 game checks, and that he will likely file a grievance

I hope the league fines him for this extremely unprofessional behavior

That is the second press conference Belichick has walked out of in the last 10 days.

As Heismanberg pointed out the other day, the moment he threatened his GM was the point at which he should have found himself on the Commissioner's List. It's unacceptable for any player to be threatening violence towards a member of staff.
It was only Mayock though

freak your knowledge bitch I been all pro before I even knew u!

Why do I feel as though had he not been such a malignant piece of excrement in Oakland, and had this been his only transgression (the feet being frozen was always a non-story to me), that they'd be letting the process play out and he'd be suiting up in Silver and Black this Sunday for a Raider team that looks like they may be able to make a move in a conference with a very shitty underbelly right now. 9 wins gets a team a wild-card birth, no?

What a freaking idiot.
