Not trying to take anything away from what Nick Bosa is doing this year because he's dominating, but Young is better on paper and he's putting up the numbers to prove it.

And yet none of that matters to us right now. The only way we shouldn't take Thomas, is if he is gone already. Then our focus should shift to Jeudy. If both of those guys are already gone, then I would take Young. We need to surround Sam to succeed. Otherwise we will have an astounding defense, and dead franchise QB. not the way to win in the league today
Need a new one for a new board...

I want Andrew Thomas and Trey Smith in the first two rounds

This OL needs some bullies
+1.

If Smith's clot issues are cleared up what a brute.

Below: Smith (#73) 2 weeks ago vs. 'Bama (abusing a 335 lb.DL and then going back to shove him down again for good measure).  He and Thomas would be a nice 1-2 punch on the left side.

9. NEW YORK JETS – OT ALEX LEATHERWOOD, ALABAMA
The Kelvin Beachum era in New York likely ends after this season with the left tackle’s contract expiring. That opens the door for Leatherwood and his silky smooth feet in pass protection. He only allowed 11 pressures on 409 pass-blocking snaps this season.

#7 New York Jets: Austin Jackson, OT, USC
The Jets need someone to help Sam Darnold, so both a No. 1 receiver (CeeDee Lamb) and a talented left tackle (Austin Jackson) make sense. The former happens to be the superior prospect, but I think the front office will value protecting Darnold.

Austin Jackson is a terrific athlete with quick feet and superb agility.

#7 N.Y. Jets: Tristan Wirfs OL, Iowa

Wirfs would be the prudent pick for the Jets here. He's an NFL strong left tackle with a complete game.

Not sure about Jackson, esp. in the first.  Dancing bear mobile yes but isn't a finisher nor a brute in the Jedrick Wills mold and after picking either Wills/Leatherwood (and maybe Wirf) if I were looking for a mobile "played LT" option, I'd look at Prince Tega Wanogho as a later round project before Jax.

Wirfs, Leatherwood, and now Prince Tega Wanagho

These names continue to get more impressive.  Whats next?
