#Jets LB Avery Williamson recently agreed to a restructured contract worth $3.5M for this season, including $1M guaranteed, per source. Max $5M with incentives. The move saves New York $3M in cash and $3.75M in cap space.

I think he's being eased back into a bigger role but it's not a bad thing if Cashman has actually taken that spot.

Cashman has not been very durable but we have really strong depth at ILB.

Williamson was activated just over a week ago and is coming off an ACL tear. I think it’s expected that he’s going to be eased back into the defense after missing an entire year during a pre-season where injuries seem to be coming at a higher rate across the league.
