I'll play their little game.  Geno had more yards and TDs than any other rookie. Geno is surely the OROY.

Hahahah I was just rebutting the morons that say Kiko should be DROY (He clearly should not be). He made a name for himself early but really tailed off.

Sheldon Richardson 2013 grade: 30.4

Desmond Trufant 2013 grade: 12.2

So... the whole "grades" thing doesn't matter that much, PFF?

I love the website more than any other sports website out there, but what a dumb, dumb way to invalidate your whole grading process, the bread and butter of the site.  "Eh... these grades are so subjective; let's just put it to a vote."

Come on, guys.

Elsayed, on Trufant: "He snuck up on us..."

Monson, on Trufant: "Desmond Trufant was a player that slipped under the radar for most of the year in the race but when we went back and looked at just what he had done we realized how impressive he has been."

No, PFF!  That's a bad PFF!  The whole selling point of your website is that you watch "every player, every play." You should be immune to "snuck-ups." "When we went back and looked..." should never be a phrase used by a site that claims to meticulously evaluate every player, every play, week in, week out.

Ugh.  Still love the website, but pooch-screws like this one are a big reminder that they've only been doing this thing for six years.

I'm sure Sheldon is crushed that football nerds on the internet didn't think he was the best.

Alonso has more traditional numbers. Would be surprised if he didn't win the award.

Kiper picked Alonso for his DROY. it's like nobody wants to give the jets credit for a good draft pick.

And you are surprised?

From the comments:

Let's review the facts:
Dee Milliner only gave up a 51.5% completion percentage vs. Trufants' 53.4%.....
Dee Milliner had 3 INT's to Trufant's 2 INT's.......
Dee Milliner had 11 passes defensed to Trufants 15.......
Exactly How GOOD was Trufant????????
Stats courtesy of PFF

PFF is a joke

I would question yards per completion.  Not that I care, but that could surely sway the argument, IMO.

I'm sure Sheldon is crushed that football nerds on the internet didn't think he was the best.

...upon being asked if he would like to be named DROY:

“I don’t care, I am that. Even if I don’t win it, I am that. You can’t tell me anything different.”
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

God Damn!  I love the attitude he has.  The team needs more of that.

I can't wait to see what this dude is capable of after six months of competing with Mo Wilkerson in the weight room.

That and getting his shoulder healthy.

Can't believe he spent 12 weeks with a bum shoulder doing what he was doing

PFF is the hipster of awards. Left-field sleeper picks to look cool. They're Schottenheimering the pick -- bet no one saw these coming

And as a result, we're all talking about them. I thought they were better than that.

He also hurt his hip at the tail end of the season.

He also hurt his hip at the tail end of the season.

It was remarkable how different the run defense performed after he left the field and returned injured. All of a sudden they were ripping off seven yards at a clip, just like last year.
