Nasty blocker, not much help in the passing game.

We needed a compliment to Herndon
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away

McShay just called him the best blocking tight end in this class

Cut White Trash TE
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

Cut White Trash TE

Pick is worth it simply for this reason alone
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away

I would love to eat crow on my posts in the draft day thread. I truly think he wouldve been there in the 5th anyways.  I look forward to being proven wrong.

I guess we are one Herndon injury away from 0 depth at TE. so its not the end of the world. i truly wouldve preferred OL or CB at that pick though.

This should make Herndon more effective.  Last year he needed to block a lot because leggett couldn't block for excrement.  Now we can move Herndon around more.  We have two really good blocking tight ends now.

ok. I'll step off the ledge a bit . hes instantly the 2nd best TE on this roster and can be used in the red zone and block.

I wouldve preferred Michael Jordan or Harmon  or Gaillard

but i see the logic behind the pick. just not the spot he was taken in.

If he was "the guy" we wanted with Butler gone (or even with him on it...) the two trade downs, make a lot more sense. Get whatever additional value we can, because you are right, I have to imagine he's still on the board at the end of round 4 if we hadn't taken him.

Got a guy we wanted, just not the guy WE wanted.
Need a new one for a new board...

whats done is done, time to move on. at least we know Gase will actually use him. this pick wouldve been downright sad if Bowles and his flavor of the year OC was still in the building.

We got a pretty good tight end in the 4th round last year.
