Always down for more O-line, especially tackles. Love the pick.
So it turns out, Italian Seafood was right an everyone can go freak themselves.

A lot of what I'm reading on Edoga reminds me of Brick, minus the first round accolades. Hopefully he turns into something similar.

Ganggreennation has a nice breakdown of some of Chuma's notable plays.

If this is the "attitude problem," I can deal with it:

I think the attitude is about laziness.  Mcshay called him the laziest player in the draft

Based on what I've read about Edoga since the pick, it's mostly unflattering. Doesn't try hard, lazy, etc. But he clearly has talent. I also would think Darnold was consulted, but I honestly don't know how often GMs talk to current players on the team about guys they are potentially drafting in later rounds.

That block on Okereke is fantastic.  It'd be pretty sweet if he could become the heir apparent at left tackle.

He mostly looks like a dumbass in that one clip because daniels or whoever managed to not go down.  Would he have affected the play at all if he didn't give up after getting beat?  I doubt it.

I wonder how much of his motor issues are him giving up on plays that matter vs. the coaches thinking he needs to show more spunk and flail at peoples' backs when he's out of a play

USC has been an absolute mess since Pete Carroll left.

That program just needs a total overhaul.  Clay Helton is a dumbass and has shown absolutely no ability to manage players, personalities, or football games.

The kind of excrement that Edoga pulls off at times can be squashed by leadership and coaching.  He displays a losing mindset and USC has had a loser's mindset for a while now.  A lot of those kids were hung out to dry when Sam Darnold left for the pros.  They didn't have a plan in place to fill in that hole.

Went from potential CFB Playoff contenders to hot garbage overnight.

Jets have put a lot of resources into "locker room culture" the past few years.

Here's to hoping it starts paying off with these young guys who need leadership.

It had better.  And Gase needs to be able to manage it.  And keep Williams under control.

Big tasks for bugeyes.

“ The @jets have a long-term building block in talented rookie Chuma Edoga.  Last year’s @seniorbowl had 5 OL taken in first-round and Edoga won “Practice Player of the Week” honors over all of them.  Cowboys DE Demarcus Lawrence didn’t get a single hit on QB Sam Darnold yesterday.”

Jim Nagy, Senior Bowl Coordinator

Someone in the comments suggests they’re only comfortable with Chuma as RT of the future:

“ He has the feet and pass pro ability to play LT.”
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about
