Which prospects hurt their stock most in the 2013 season?
« on: January 07, 2014, 10:05:02 AM »
I ask this because every year there are a few players that we look at and say "if he declared early/was eligible to come out he'd be a top pick."

Then the next season plays out, and for one reason or another, they just don't look as good when they finally do come out.

I don't think anyone pulled a full Barkley in 2013, but who suffered a meaningful drop in stock this year?

Cyrus Kouandjio was being mocked fairly high earlier in the season but he did himself no favours in the last couple of games he played.

This year Brett Hundley made a mistake and will regret it in 2015.

Colt Lyerla

Forgot about him, that was definitely worse than Barkley.

McCarron would have went higher than Geno last year, kind of a Barkley if he falls to the 3rd.

Boyd was never a quality prospect.

Probably true, but I don't fault him for staying to try to make a run at 3.

Boyd was never a quality prospect.

I never liked him, but I think with last years class he had a chance of going much higher than he will this year. He lost himself some money.

Didn't torpedo their stocks, but Clowney and Marqise Lee didn't improve their stocks either...

Boyd had a chance to improve his stock and certainly did not.

Louichiez Purifoy may have been a 1st rounder before the season started. Adrian Hubbard and De'Anthony Thomas also didn't improve their stocks. Same with David Fales.

Kouandjio and Lyerla have to be right near the top of this list.
