I have no idea who is good and who is bad, but I'm glad we are casting a wide net.

Unless we hire an obviously bad choice like Gase, I will probably give whoever we hire a pretty open mind because I don't know who the best candidates are. Being a coordinator and being a coach are not the same thing.

Joe Brady can be the best playcaller on the planet, but he might not know how to run a team. Another candidate might be an average coordinator, but a great leader who knows how to delegate to quality assistants and run a great program. Without knowing any of these guys, I don't know how we can judge the latter beyond purely guessing.

If a candidate like Gase suddenly enters the mix, off the top of my head, say, Matt Patricia, I'll start bitching. But getting upset about casting a wide net seems pretty silly, especially when you admit you know nothing about the guy other than what you just googled.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'd take Garrett ahead of Patricia. I can't really think of someone who might actually have an outside shot of getting interviewed that I would like less than Patricia.

This is interesting: Patrick Graham has signed a contract extension to stay as assistant head coach/defensive coordinator of the #NYGiants. He has decided not to consider head coaching opportunities for 2021, according to the team.
