In regard to penalties.

I checked it out on PFF.  Hartsock drew 4 flags in 2009, 2 in 2010 with us.  Not bad at all.

In comparison, Matt Mulligan drew 9 in 2011 when he took over Hartsock's job.  He was a freaking flag magnet.  I remember Shonn Greene had one long run the entire season, and it came back because of Mully.  Then somebody cursed him out on the sideline, and he went postal.

Haha what's the story behind him having a excrement fit on the sideline?

I remember him being an automatic holding penalty but don't remember hearing about him going postal.

It wasn't the first time that season that teammates of his had reacted negatively to one of Mully's penalties.  IIRC, Dustin Keller whispered something to him, and he just freaked out, started screaming on the sideline. My guess is he felt like he was being scapegoated for a lot of our offensive woes that season.

Here's a little bit.

Looks like I had it wrong, and it was Keller separating Mulligan from a coach.  Is that Anthony Lynn?

I will say this about Matthew Mulligan, however: the dude could run block.

It wasn't wise of Tannenbaum to go into 2012 with Wayne Hunter as a starter, but it was downright stupid to not have a blocking tight end on the roster to support him.

Whiz was on Al Groh's staff which off the top of my head had a surprising amount (3) of future head coaches. I'm almost positive Todd Haley (WR's) and Mike Nolan (DC) were also on that staff.

Anyone else hoping Mulligan in a freak occurrence somehow records a reception next week only to barrel into Belicheck, tearing his ACL? freak both of them...but unfortunately I have a sick feeling they'll excrement on whoever they play next week out of the Chargers or Colts.

Since being cut by the Jets, Danny Woodhead has never missed the postseason.

More accurately, he's been to the postseason every year since 2009.

And apparently he wrote his own Wikipedia article:

Quote
Woodhead saw his first regular season action on October 25, 2009. In the 38–0 win over the Oakland Raiders, Woodhead rushed 3 times for 24 yards. Woodhead led the Jets to the playoffs until the team lost in the AFC Championship to the Indianapolis Colts.

Funny thing is, he's exactly what the Jets are missing at the RB position... Fuckin' McKnight.

WE SHOULD HAVE KEPT WOODHEAD!

Seriously, good for him. Been in the playoffs every single year of his career. That's pretty awesome.

People were justifying the cut saying that there wasn't any room for him, and that his success in NE was mostly due to the system that they run there.

I never really bought it. I liked the kid, and wish he would have stayed here.

I think it was more of a reaction to people acting like cutting him was a crime against humanity. As I quoted earlier, there's a line in his Wikipedia article that states "he led the Jets to the playoffs". That means someone actually held that thought, and decided it was an appropriate thing to write down as part of a historical record. That was the kind of person that was complaining loudest about cutting Woodhead, which garnered an equal but opposite reaction.

For the record, this is coming from a person who wore this to a game:
