It sounds like the reason everyone's saying it's the admirals is because the Washington admirals website links back to WFT, something none of the alternatives do

It's a fine name. I'm convinced that there is no such thing as a good mascot name in 2021.

The teams I root for are the Jets, Yankees, Devils and Nets. The Jets is a stupid name. The Nets is an even dumber name. The Yankees is a stupid name. The Devils is the only decent one of the four.
