Seton Hall - SJU: hose job worthy of the Palestra.

edit: though SJ helped cook its own goose missing the front end of consecutive one and ones down the stretch.

Guy still had to make that shot. Hall is on a roll, if this was in March it would be remembered for a long time.
So it turns out, Italian Seafood was right an everyone can go freak themselves.

Yes he did - clutch shot.  I had no emotional skin in the game and am just calling a spade a spade.  College basketball's full of horseshit calls and in this case the refs compounded screwing up a game-clinching change of possession call with a b.s. cover up.  A hose is a hose - e.g. Seton Hall getting hosed vs. Michigan (Rumeal "eats federal institution food" Robinson) in the Final Four.

Very impressed you remember that. For a long time I felt like we should have a lifetime pass for bad calls.

I did think St John's was the better team most of the game, they went cold late. In a weird way I'm happy to see them good, it's good for the league.

We're on the same page league-wise (^ in bold). Out of the box it looked like the Big East was going to be a dog this year (Hall crushed by Neb., Nova losing to Furman) but since then they look like they're not going to be all that bad.  SJU bounced back blowing out #16 Marquette - didn't see that coming.

Seton Hall came from 10 down to win at Xavier with McKnight sitting pretty much the whole second half in foul trouble. Xavier is maybe not what they've been, they lost that annoying little Marcura guy, but that's a tough place to win and it was pretty loud when they built that lead.

Nice road win.   In the Big East scheme of things, what's up with Xavier and Butler this year?

Butler is still decent. Surprised about their last few games.

It's wide open at the top. My Villanova Wildcats aren't nearly as good as they have been. Marquette, Seton Hall, St. John's and Villanova are all probably around the same level this year.

Xavier lost some players and has a new coach, I haven't seen Butler yet. Villanova had a closer game at home vs DePaul than you would expect.

Another comeback that just fell short - Romero Gill's injury was the difference (off the boards).  Too bad, Hall would've been ranked after Iowa (25), Nebraska (24), Oklahoma (23), Wisconsin (22), and Marquette (16) all lost this week.

Yeah, maybe DePaul is better this year in relation to the rest of the conference. I'm ok with not being ranked right now, a 10-8 conference record and a win at MSG in March would get it to 20 wins and likely the NCAAs. Hopefully they can do better than 10-8 but you never know, I didn't think they would go 9-3 in the first leg of the season with the schedule they played.

St. John’s ranked 24 in the AP poll. Besides one bullshit loss they should still be undefeated but it’s nice to see them ranked again. Big game tomorrow. Statement game.

They had a good shot to win in regulation.

DePaul is better than we thought.
