If ever a jersey was indicative of how an ownership group has no clue.

No one, not one soul who roots for this franchise gives a single freak about the Rockies days except for the fact that Chico played in Colorado.

Any heritage jersey should've been an homage to the green and red, not this absolute trash.

The Rangers kinda have a problem with the whole modern obsession with teams creating lots of different jerseys - they already have the nicest jersey in the league so anything else they produce looks excrement by comparison.

While there's no accounting for personal taste I certainly won't argue the 'nicest jersey' assessment.  Blackhawks 'white' jerseys however 'busy' are kinda slick imho (notwithstanding the inevitable group having a problem with it.)  I agree that NYR alternate jerseys (e.e. the statue of liberty version) are unnecessary, i.e. not broke no need to fix.  Historical: in the 1970's, John Ferguson was GM and he stupidly turned them into the Winnipeg Jets for a short period...z-z-z-z-city.  Everyone hated them; he was fired, they were burned.

The 'Jets' jerseys I referred to was vintage '76-77 that Ferguson stupidly had the NYR wearing. 

The current Winnipeg Jets jerseys are fine and if you want to call them bangers I guess that's fine too. : )




back on topic: Rangers went into Carolina tonight & beat the Metro Div-leading Canes 6-2.  The Breadman had 4 goals.
