Sure but UDFAs also get a say in where they go (to some extent) OL will be picking us over other teams, same with DBs and WRs. Meanwhile no DL with an alternative should be picking us.

He was being grumpy/sarcastic.

Mostly, but there’s also no sense in signing complete scrubs that never have a chance in making it just because they’re at a position of need. Sign the most talented guys that should have actually been drafted. I get L2’s point that the players have a say in where they sign, but just sign talent wherever possible.

Arizona had such a good draft

They picked a midget first overall and traded a 2018 top ten for bottom of the second rounder

I was mainly talking about their day 2 and day 3 picks. Loved every single one besides R7 Joshua Miles who I haven’t heard of

What could have been:

Jets tried to position themselves to trade up into 2nd round for Georgia WR Mecole Hardman, per sources... but Chiefs traded up 1 spot ahead (No. 56 overall) to get him to be a potential replacement for Tyreek Hill.

Hardman is going to be game-changer

Manish going Alvin Kamara all over again when Coleman lights it up in KC’s offense

Jets attempted to make massive jump into Top 5 of 2nd Rd. NYJ talked to several teams, including Colts (34) & Seahawks (37).

They were trying to move up for a cornerback, per sources. Byron Murphy (33) & Rock Ya-Sin (34) went in Top 5.

Bunting (39) & Mullen (40) followed.

The cornerback trade-ups make far more sense than the Hardman trade-up.

I like Rock Ya-Sin and Murphy a lot. I would have been willing to dip into next year's draft to get either of those guys. Hardman would have been a headscratcher.

i don't think i would have been a big fan of trading up and giving away extra picks to add another player for the defense. i can buy it if its for an offensive piece that'll help sam. there were/are just too many holes we needed to cover

One other thing: Roger Goodell will (as suspected) announce first-round picks standing in his basement in Bronxville, N.Y.

As someone who hates pageantry in all its incarnations I'm looking forward to this year's draft more than ever.

He'll still be booed somehow.
