boycotting the super bowl would hurt nobody other than aaron and his legacy / hunt for more rings. even with a boycott he would have no leverage to strong arm the nfl into doing or changing anything; they would literally tell him he could remove himself if he wished, because no matter what, we'd still watch. the entire US would still tune in to watch the game whether aaron played or not (and would especially tune in to watch were he to boycott, if only to see what happens to the team/the game without aaron), because it's the only football game on and the only one left for the entire year.
