Unless of course, you can't swing a trade down, because the best talent available is an OG, and I don't think (I'm sure I will be corrected on this) any team has ever traded up in round 1 to select an OG. But hey I could be wrong.

And like I said in 5 months (god the draft is so far away!) after we patch our holes with the Monopoly money we have to work with this offseason by bringing in several mid-tier guys we could possibly go anywhere we want, and Yankey is one of those guys who could be a ten year offensive starter.
This is very far from now and I really don't have a solid opinion until the combine, but I'd much rather reach for someone like Adams or Benjamin at 18 (who might not be reaches by then) then a Guard at the spot. It's my opinion a skill player is a must in the 1st round.

Are we seriously debating this? I thought we were just continuing the guard thing as a joke from last year.

But seriously, Cyril Richardson doe.

You take as many Richardsons as you can find. They will all be HOFers

Like how we should have traded up for Trent in 2012.

You can find a guard anywhere in the draft.

Current Wish list at 18:

Sammy Watkins
Mike Evans (both likely gone)

Davante Adams
Kelvin Benjamin
Brandin Cooks
Marqise Lee
Eric Ebron
Jace Amaro
Ditka

the last time the Jets picked 18th overall....they selected Chad Pennington.

We had four first round picks that year, forget exactly who we got with what pick. Abraham,  Ellis,  Pennington and Becht.
So it turns out, Italian Seafood was right an everyone can go freak themselves.

The more i think about it, the more i want the top WR on the board at #18.  Let's get this kid some weapons.

Yeah, or a free agent. Still holding out hope for Hill but I don't want another one of him.

You should do some pre-draft research this offseason...

If I hear from the Jets that they're taking my opinion into account I'll get right on that.

Well....given that you have pre-conceived notions that every WR in the draft will end up like Stephen Hill, I thought you'd benefit from learning about the prospects first....before giving an opinion.

But if you still believe that the entire draft is a lottery......sadly, you're beyond rehabilitation.
