Nah, take Mack at 18 and trade back up into the 1st for Dennard.

We are drafting at 18.  So that means we are a better than average NFL team?

I have a weird feeling Geno is the guy going forward, which means Rex will never have the QB he needs to be elite.

That being said. This 1st pick needs to be a home run if the Jets want to improve the offense next year.

Seeing as how we are drafting where we are. I will throw a somewhat unexpected name into the ring of guys to keep tabs on, one that will probably make Badger happy.

David Yankey OG Stanford

If all the QBs are gone, and the top 3 WRs and Ebron and possibly Amaro, a guy like Yankey, while a very unsexy pick, would help solidify our OL and give us a much needed boost in that category.

heck, with all the money in the world to use this offseason, we could conceivably fix all of our holes with moderate FA signings and allow our first few picks to pretty much be BPA (offense) making a guy like Yankey somebody we would all be pretty happy with if the playmakers are all gone.
Need a new one for a new board...

I'm not too upset about this so long as the Jets can build the skill position talent this offseason. They went 8-8 with his retard derriere throwing to pretty much no one so if he cannot elevate his play over backup level then the Jets can get their guy in 2015.

I would trade down if all those weapons are gone. Too much 2nd tier WR talent out there to take a Guard there.

Too many good guards to take a guard that high too

Unless of course, you can't swing a trade down, because the best talent available is an OG, and I don't think (I'm sure I will be corrected on this) any team has ever traded up in round 1 to select an OG. But hey I could be wrong.

And like I said in 5 months (god the draft is so far away!) after we patch our holes with the Monopoly money we have to work with this offseason by bringing in several mid-tier guys we could possibly go anywhere we want, and Yankey is one of those guys who could be a ten year offensive starter.
