There is absolutely no way the Pats get Rosen, unless he murders a puppy and free falls. 23 and 31 won't even get them top 10. Seems even less realistic than the Saints' interest in Mayfield.
I don't believe it either. Not because they couldn't get enough compensation together, but because I can't see the Giants trading with them at all, much less going back that far. I guess they could throw in Gronk or just Ditka it all, but I doubt the Giants want to leave the top 10.
I could see the Pats moving up to the top 10 for another player that falls, but no QB they want will fall far enough.
The Pats have created themselves a lot of holes to fill by letting guys walk. They need the picks.
Besides, we all know what they will do. Regardless of how many picks they start with, they will end up with 2 scrappy white guys, at least 1 Rutgers player, someone they overdraft by about 3 rounds, and a bunch of extra mid round picks in 2019 from trading down 48 times. And the talking heads will be lining up to shine Bill's balls.
