Mets re-sign Jay Bruce. Not sure how I feel about this. Would have preferred a center fielder.

I would be good with it. It appeared like the Mets weren’t going to do anything for a little while and this is a legit middle of the order hitter. I agree with you, a guy like Lorenzo Cain probably would have filled a bigger need considering their roster composition. Everything I’ve heard lately sounds like they’re really relying on Juan legares to handle the position this year, but we’ve heard that every year for the past few seasons and he hasn’t been able to stay healthy. I’ve also been hearing that Conforto might have to play CF when he returns.

IMHO it's a good price for a player that you know can succeed in the market and stadium. Not the best fit positionally, especially if they have to ask Conforto to play center, but at the same time so far all Dominic Smith has shown is that he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.

Mets really need another infielder, I'm puzzled at their immediate lack of interest that was reported when Starlin got moved to Miami.

Starlin just asked for a trade out of Miami yesterday. I’m sure it wouldn’t cost much, Miami would probably just be happy to have his contract off the books

That’s interesting.

It’s not a bad move as Dominic Smith insurance. I will say that I think Mets fans in general are far too low on Smith right now, I wouldn’t worry about what he did in 200 at bats in his rookie year. I did hear there were some weight/conditioning concerns, and that some people within the organization aren’t sold on him.

Good move getting Adrián González. Class act and he can still play.
So it turns out, Italian Seafood was right an everyone can go freak themselves.

That sounds like a good contract both ways with Frasier. I wanted him back with the Yankees but good for him getting to stay home.

What's thumbs down guy going to do now though?
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well
