Bacon

Obviously the glory that is bacon and all bacon-related topics deserve their own thread.  Probably a separate forum, but who am I to judge.

California might be regulating itself out of bacon.  I heard about this a few months ago from a friend that is Vice President of Bacon at Smithfield Foods.

Oh I agree, but it could get quite expensive and hard to find for a while.

I mean to be fair they can just sell bacon that isn't from a pig

But this sounds completley like a California thing to do

I'm just saying we shouldn't uncritically be taking the word of 1. manufacturers who don't want to improve their standards and 2. business owners complaining about a price increase. Both will exaggerate as much as possible rile up consumers.
