do we have a deadline for keeper submissions? or have we settled on a date for the draft? did I book my hotel yet?

I'm planning on setting all of this up this weekend.

We're going to set the keeper deadline for Friday, August 25 at midnight. This means you will only be allowed to swap your keepers in the event of injury between then and the draft. We will then draw the draft order on Saturday, August 26.

My intention is to set the draft for the weekend beginning September 1 (the final weekend before the regular season). Let me know if you have a conflict with or preference towards any particular day.

My main priority right now is to make sure that we have twelve owners. I just sent e-mails out to everyone to ask if you're intending on returning. Please take two seconds to respond as soon as you can. You only have to say yes or no.

You can also respond in here. I don't care.

I assume we've all been in the league long enough to understand the keeper rules, but if you need a refresher, let me know.

I know there's a 1 round penalty for guys you kept the previous year, but what about a guy I kept and used my first rounder on last year? Does it just stay a first rounder or do I lose him?

The league dues will continue to be $40 and they will be due on Wednesday, August 30. Since such a stink was made about the late fees last year, I've decided to do away with them. Instead, whoever fails to pay their league dues on time will be subjected to what I'm going to affectionately dub the "Theon treatment".

As long as you haven't already kept him 3 times, his value will stay at a 1st rounder.

Tenative Soss Keeps
Antonio Brown (Round 1 2014 draftee, 3rd keep)
Michael Crabtree (Round 6, first keep)
Kirk Cousins (Round Last, FA Pickup, first keep)

Also contemplating Tevin Coleman (Round 10 draftee 2016, first keep) or Mel Gordon Round 2, so any of those 5 items are potentially available for trade offers.

Also I forget how the franchise tag works, can it be applied to any one guy each season, or is it just for guys you've had since their rookie year?

You can only apply the franchise tag to a player that either had the tag last season or was a rookie last season.

Remember you can only trade a player that you're keeping, so if you want to trade one of those players, you'll have to use a keeper slot on them.
