12mil in year 1 is alot
Gase wasn't going to beat out rhule if the dollars were tied
I'm glad they didn't get into a bidding war, but I'm worried about Sam.

JD needs to go out and get Sam more help now in FA
-  Another Olineman
-  A backup RB who can make big plays
-  A WR

Just get him some more help

I’m really curious as to what JD’s max price for Robby was. $10mil/year average doesn’t seem that unreasonable for Anderson.

Bill O'Brien handing DeAndre Hopkins to the Cards didn't help the Jets either.  The Giants, Browns and Chargers seemed the only 3 teams in the hunt for an OT.  Now you can include the Cards in the "top 4" mix meaning the Jets could get shut out at OT altogether.  Draft Ruggs or Jeudy, fine, but then what?   Austin Jackson or a project (however talented) in Prince Tego at #48 and hope for another worth it WR at #68?

It's possible $10M/year was Joe's cap for Robby. And maybe Robby decided that if the Jets wouldn't be willing to give him any more, they didn't appreciate him enough.
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well

A one year deal to Perriman opens the door up for a receiver at 11.

I want Ruggs.

I don't give a excrement if prime JJ Watt or 2009 Darrelle Revis are on the board at 11: it needs to be OL or WR.

There are seven guys I'm comfortable taking and at least one of them will be available.  Day two is where Douglas really needs to earn his check though; we've got to come out of this draft with two starters on offense.

If Jeff Okudah or Chase Young is there at 11, I would take him over any WR or OT we could draft. They are the only exceptions though.

Agreed with Reuben. With the talent at OLine and WR, we need to feed the offense in the draft...especially given what our current WR corps looks like.

Thirded. I don't see any good reason not to give Clowney a hefty lump of money and tell Gregg to take draft weekend off to put his feet up.

Can't say I'm disappointed about this in the slightest.
