It is an opinion, but it's an educated one as the guy has been rewatching and dissecting Jets' games for years to write his analysis. I'm not as knowlegdeable as him (or as you, probably), but have been trying to pay attention and I also feel they are working too hard to help him and that's affecting the performance of the whole line and hence of the players closer to him.

If BGA isn't in the huddle/film room, he has absolutely no idea what their assignments are.  He's just making excuses for Ferguson and Mangold. 

Brian Winters has been bad, but it's not his fault that Ferguson is getting owned out there.  Coaching and the QB have a lot more to do with it than Winters.

In that case, with all due respect, as you haven't been in the huddle/film room you have absolutely no idea either, so you don't know if it's the coaching, the QB, Ferguson or Winters.

I think Winters is the biggest reason the OL hasn't done so well this year, but Ferguson's been on an undeniable decline since 2011.

That's a very underrated issue on this team. Really sucks that he's regressed badly. He's just average now.
