It's been a reused formula a few times with them, previously with Vulture and Killmonger - have an antagonist with a perfectly legitimate grievance but then having them commit a random act of violence so the audience is instructed not to sympathize anymore.

I dunno, even in the final episode I was still rooting for the weird looking English bird to kill fake Captain America.

It definitely follows some fairly well worn tropes, but it's a Marvel / Disney TV show. It was never going to be a deep exploration of growing global malaise designed to make people question the underpinning constructs of society. I think it treated the Flag Smashers as sympathetically as could be expected, and definitely didn't paint them as "the real fascists".
I wasn't a huge fan of the series overall maybe 7/10.

Whats interesting is it originally might have gone in this direction.  The director as well as other leaks have noted that there was an entirely different plot that was removed around pandemics and inequality that was because of the similarities to what was going on around the world.

Remember the original release date was in the middle of the pandemic and right after George Floyd.  It probably wasn't a good look to say a man made virus was released by an Asian country.  Even if the country is fictional.

I stopped FATWS after episode three. I think I'm going on a Marvel hiatus for a while.

Same.  That third episode was just fundamentally bad television.

It wasn't your cup of tea anyway.  But i like the graphic novel superhero excrement....it has a Watchmen feel to it.

Watch Invincible.

If you're not watching Mythic Quest you are wasting your life.

First episode of The Underground Railroad isn't an easy watch, but it's really good.

Watch Invincible.

I'm still trying to figure out if I like people getting cut off from saying it by the title card.

Good show, though.

I really liked that show. I still hate Richard.

We're on season 5 of Shameless now. Frank Gallagher is so relevant. I can only imagine his Covid diatribe if it was still on-air.

This weekend we're bingeing through the final season of Lucifer.

This week’s Mythic Quest got much darker than I was expecting.

There is still nothing funnier than Chappelle Show.  Undefeated.  Goddamn racial draft. Lololol.
