Even in a pretty gory series, there was a scene in this week's Invincible that made me actually say, "Hooooly excrement."

I mean I was on board with them from episode one. The set up feels very "ACKshully anarchists are the real fascists" so even if the show does reveal them as really bad I'm still sticking with my first read.
Just finished the show, I don't think this is where it went. Really ham fisted finale though.

It went there as soon as they had the Flag Smashers blow some people up. Right into the "I agree with your goals but not your actions" gutter.

Started Jupiter's Legacy (on Netflix) last night.  I'm hooked.

I stopped FATWS after episode three. I think I'm going on a Marvel hiatus for a while.

39% on RT.  Sounds fantastic.

It wasn't your cup of tea anyway.  But i like the graphic novel superhero excrement....it has a Watchmen feel to it.

It definitely follows some fairly well worn tropes, but it's a Marvel / Disney TV show. It was never going to be a deep exploration of growing global malaise designed to make people question the underpinning constructs of society. I think it treated the Flag Smashers as sympathetically as could be expected, and definitely didn't paint them as "the real fascists".

The best thing I can say for it is that it was better than Wandavision.

It's been a reused formula a few times with them, previously with Vulture and Killmonger - have an antagonist with a perfectly legitimate grievance but then having them commit a random act of violence so the audience is instructed not to sympathize anymore.

Rotten Tomatoes gave Monster Squad a 60%....so i don't live and die by their reviews.
