It didn't have a typical horror ending but I liked the performances more in this one than Hill House, at least for the adult actors.

Yeah I liked it, decent period piece horror with a solid cast.  I haven't seen the second season.

I've seen that one come across my recommendations a few times. Nick Frost vehicles tend to be more entertaining than not.
