I just can't suspend disbelief with Homeland. That's why I could never enjoy the show.

Funny you say that.  That was the one show I was thinking of getting Netflix for.

I guess the acting and everything is pretty good, but the story really makes me want to punch a hole through my TV. A lot of it makes no sense.

The first season is great and worth watching.  Second season is just meh with too much teen drama bullshit and suspension of disbelief.  Third has been trash so far.

Does the first season stand alone? Would I feel the need to see what happens next or does it wrap things up in a satisfactory way?

The first season is at least entertaining. Could have ended there really.

It could stand alone definitely.

Hey, someone actually watches that show!

First 15 minutes of the series is great, then it regresses as they get all the plot lines rolling.  At around episode 3 it got better each week.

Does anyone have any comedies for me?
I've seen:
Arrested Development
Community
Sunny in Philadelphia
30 Rock
Parks and Recreation
The League
Curb your Enthusiasm

All from start to finish. Don't know what else I can watch. I'm studying for some law exams coming up and I like having some 25 minute shows to watch but recently finished all I had.

Wilfred is pretty damn funny.
Tom Brady kisses his kids like that kid from Glee who hung himself last week.
