Based on 2013 performance, who else would it be?

He didn't say "best fantasy player"

Neither did I. Ivory has done his job better than the rest of the offensive players. They've set a pretty low bar.

Having a better season doesn't make you a better player.  Is Alshon Jeffery better than Brandon Marshall because he's had a better season?

D'Brick, Mangold, and Holmes have had excrement years but they're all still undoubtedly better players than a solid 2-down running back.  Even Kerley.

Best performing offensive player vs. best offensive player in general. Obviously when talking about Ivory, we're talking about the former.

The point is that Ivory is probably the offensive MVP of the team this year.

That was not obvious at all from Mr E's post.

How ?

Him and bilal have similar rusing #s (ivories are better) but Bilal plays on passing downs and can catch

That makes Bilal better and its not even close IMO

(and if you really want to get technical, half of Ivories yards came in 2 games vs 2 of the worst run defenses in the nfl which is probably the biggest reason his YPC is .5 larger than Bilals)

Im not knocking Ivory, hes a great player and im very glad Idzik traded for him.

That said, Bilal is more valuable without question

Chris Ivory is the best offensive player on the Jets this season.

Mangold, Ferguson, and Holmes have all been pretty bad.

And LOL @ Bilal Powell being better than Ivory

So in a pass first nfl you dont think that a running back who is a mediocre runner thats pretty good in pass protection and receiving the ball is more valuable than a back who is a pretty good runner but is poor in pass protection and receiving the ball ?

When did Chris Ivory become a mediocre runner?

Powell is like a 6.5 running and a 6.5 in the passing game.  Ivory is like an 8 running and a 3 in the passing game.

6.5 + 6.5 = 13
8 + 3 = 11

13 > 11

You can't argue math
