What was your first job?
« on: April 08, 2022, 08:03:44 AM »
I'm bored.

So tell me about your first job.

For me...i was 16, and i was hired for the summer at a retail store called Zellers back in the summer of 1994. It was temp for a few months to help with the renovations of the store.  After the summer, i was one of 3 asked to stay on full time, but had to turn it down because i was going back to school in the fall.  What a surreal experience...punching a time card, and seeing that first paycheck.  At 16, that's when my love for money grew like a weed.

When I was 15, my friends and I got a job working for a guy that ran a private beach parking lot and beach umbrella rental company.

Easy summer money for three years.

He shook my hand breed tub and walked away

I worked for the local recreation department when I was 14/15.  Dragged and chalked the baseball fields and worked at the concession stand.

I inherited my brother's paper route in 5th grade.  Had it for a little over a year before Newsday stopped using paperboys.  I was bummed.
