That's awful.

That $5M insurance policy will help him.

Why do we care about Will Smith's son? Does he really need a thread? Move this to the Porta Potty.

Difficult day for #NotreDame LB Jaylon Smith, who had his medicals. Ankle & knee nerve issues, teams believe he's out for 2016 -- at least

Man, that's terrible for him. Loved him as a prospect. Can't touch him in round 1 anymore. Probably not round 2 either.

Smith had surgery in January.  Of course he's going to have some nerve damage right now.

I always saw him as a redshirt type of prospect after the injury.  Someone is going to get a hell of a player when he slides.

I heard someone compare this injury to what Marcus Lattimore was coming back from... Not sure if that's accurate
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

That's what Albert Breer said.  He needs to shut the freak up.

The nerve that's having issues right now is in Smith's ankle.  Lattimore tore up both of his knees and the injury that ruined his career was worse than what Smith did.

Smith had surgery 7 weeks ago.  It's a little too early for all of these sports writers to write him off.  This was a serious injury and it will take a while to heal.  He'll be one of the best players from this draft class if he heals.

That's the thing though, medical reports are coming out from the combine suggesting bad things for Smith. So media reports are blowing it out of proportion (which is what they always do. Gotta get those clicks...)

But if Smith will miss 2016, that's a gigantic injury that will hurt his future and as such could devastate his draft stock.

If he heals to normal, he's going to be a draft steal. Might be a similar comeback to Willis McGahee.
Need a new one for a new board...

Combine medical reports should be taken with great caution. Even if the reporters are legit, sources may not be. I know that is nothing earth shattering for me to announce, but I just wanted to throw it in there.

We won't get the clearest clue to his injury status until draft day.

He was #2 on my wish list with a solid medical report .

I echo what Cane said .

All it means to me is don't touch him until rd 2. Someone will bite .

Damn shame . Hope he recovers .

If a team believes that he'll recover by 2017, the first round still gives him a lot of value because of the fifth year option.

It really is like giving him a true redshirt year.

Yeah but that's as speculative as the news he's got a worse injury than initially reported .lpl

I mean assuming there's a more than 50% consensus his recovery is questionable .

But yeah I imagined him not playing until 17 anyways.

Guy shpuldve been a top 5 player . Unless he recovers poorly someone is getting a steal .

Imagine if the Pats re sign Collins and draft Smith ?

Uggh. But I create the nightmare scenario every yr only for them to trade down or draft someone I don't care about lol
