It seems they gave him his next 2 1yr deals wrapped into one AND also pitched him an additional $4 mil in incentives. Clowney got what he wanted, and Jets don’t have to pay that premium for a guy who is every other year productive.
But now I think the next most prodent move on the market is to go get Justin Simmons. He moves the needle more than any remaining edge players do. Still sign a vet edge, but I’d go lock in Simmons to give you the (on paper) top secondary in the sport
