If it wasn't for the starting pitching, and a handful of regulars, this team would be pathetic. I hate Collins too. Robles for the 8th? Haha

So if it wasn't for some of the most important positions on a baseball team your team would suck?

Speechless after that game. 20 men on base. 1 run. 13 walks. 5 double plays.

our team actually is very good but has some fundamental flaws. we just rely too much on the long ball, this was the same last year. niggas swing for a home run every time instead of just trying to make solid contact, especially with runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs. our bullpen has been fantastic robles included, but theyve all had a horrible week

we got screwed over in the syndergaard ejection game

matz/robles let it get away last night. i actually think we took matz out too early

if we make the playoffs we can do damage. the only team i was worried about vs our pitching is the royals, and they suck this year and are also hurt. focus on making more contact vs an all or nothing approach and we can win it all

I've been saying that the Mets' problem is their inability to hit for contact since the beginning of the season but it doesn't appear that anything is about to be done to address that. Terry keeps saying that they're not a "small ball" team. Apparently that means not being about to get a hit (unless it's a home run) with men in scoring position.

This team also strikes out far too much (though you can say that about almost every team these days). Conforto struck out four times yesterday. Combine that with Cespedes getting a day off and you're not going to get a lot of offense.

Wright to DL. Need to call up Dilson Herrera.

It hasn't been pretty, but they're finding ways to win games.

Getting no hit by a rookie in his second career start. Awesome.

I didn't watch much of the game tonight, but I caught the 9th, and what the freak is Teufel sending Flores from 1st on a double when there's no one out and they're down a run to the Braves? excrement loss.

That's the second time Teufel has done that this season. He sucks as a 3rd base coach.
