Matz has given up 2 ER's in his last 3 starts FWIW.

That was merely in response to the comment earlier about Matz struggling.

Mets fans should know better than anyone not to get overly excited early in the season.

i think that post was in response to another post saying matz has been shaky this year, i dont think it was a "OMG matz is a god"-type post

anyways he had the one bad start but his other two starts were pretty impressive i must say. was consistently able to locate his fastball and curve almost every time he needed to with great effect. i missed his start tonight though

Yankees fans are gonna start to become very bitter. Not long before they start bringing up 27 championships

I like this one in particular.

Btw I'm going to the Mets game later. Nice day.

Can't have that kind of fun when you don't have the pitchers bat.

That was some performance by a lot of pitchers in the 4 game series, if we didn't have Kershaw doing what he's doing right now we'd be up sh*t's creek already in a bad division.
So it turns out, Italian Seafood was right an everyone can go freak themselves.

steven matz is absolutely forreal. his stuff/makeup were on display for all to see in the few starts he made last season, but then he had an 'iffy' postseason in my opinion. i didn't think he'd put it together this quick.

the only reason why he's the second best pitcher on our staff right now is because of how amazing syndergaard has been, who i don't even want to talk about because i'm afraid of jinxing him. all i'm going to say is being able to locate 100 on the black shouldn't be something that is allowed in real life

matz is a long island kid too so it's nice to see

It's especially amazing because he looks like a medical student studying to be a chiropractor

If it wasn't for the starting pitching, and a handful of regulars, this team would be pathetic. I hate Collins too. Robles for the 8th? Haha
