Alabama DC Kirby Smart will be named Georgia’s new football coach, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

The 39-year-old is a Georgia native who became a Bulldog defensive back and later an assistant coach at the school. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the announcement is expected to be made after Smart's Tide play Florida in the SEC Championship Game. Additionally, the outlet reports that Smart will bring in his own staff but retain DL coach Tracy Rocker. Georgia AD Greg McGarity fired 15-year head coach Mark Richt, winner of an average of 9.6 games per season, on Sunday. Smart has plenty of talent returning but won't get a prolonged honeymoon.

It was only a matter of time.  South Carolina's search keeps getting more interesting.  All three of their top candidates are no longer options.
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away
