Andrew Miller just got hit with a comebacker in the right wrist. He immediately walked off the field and threw his hat in disgust. AYFKM? 4 days before the season. excrement.

EDIT: Jesus Christ, Miller is headed back to Tampa for an X-Ray and CT scan. Accarding to Cashman "It's at least a bruise." Bryan Mitchell is on his way to an MRI for his toe. And suddenly MLB's best pen is down to Betances.

Meanwhile Nova pitched great today and will likely be rewarded by being traded so CC can have the 5th spot in the rotation.

And to think I was excited for Opening Day as recently as this morning.

Yankees reliever Andrew Miller broke his non-pitching wrist when struck on the right arm by a line drive in the seventh inning of the New York Yankees' 2-0 win over the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday.

The left-hander threw his glove and walked into the Yankees' dugout after pinch-hitter Willians Astudillo's comebacker went off his arm, just above the wrist. X-rays were negative, but a CT scan revealed a chip fracture.

New York said "he will see a hand specialist, who will determine the next course of action." Miller was the Yankees' closer last year and was slated to fill that role while Aroldis Chapman serves a 30-game suspension under baseball's new domestic abuse policy. If Miller is sidelined, Dellin Betances would open the season as closer

Being that it's an injured baseball player and it's his non throwing-hand he will probably be out for 4 years

Bryan Mitchell has a fracture in his left big toe and could require surgery.

Jack Curry is saying it's likely a 3 month injury. The beat writers are holding off to see what the doctor says officially.

As for Miller that's pretty ballsy. Granted it's the off-hand, and supposedly it's a bone that does nothing except hurt when it breaks, but I admire him playing through pain. (If he does it, that is.)
