I'm not at all picky about my coffee, but it's gross out here.

There's only one public golf course, and it's expensive. I need my fix though. http://www.kscgolf.org.hk/index-e.asp

There must be plenty of indoor courses there though?

Iced coffee this morning.  To celebrate this Winnipeg heat wave.

Indoor golf courses? You mean driving range?

No, I mean indoor courses. Have you never seen a golf simulator before?

You choose your course, then you hit actual balls at the screen and based on the video feedback and the ball trajectory, the computer calculates your shot and displays it on screen. It's a full 18 holes with tableside waitress service.

It's not quite the same as going to a golf course, but leaving your downtown office to go and play 18 holes as you get steaming drunk is awesome fun.

Oh! Yeah I did that a bunch of times in NYC at Manhattan Golf. Haven't even considered if here. Thanks. Better than nothing.

I've played a few of them here in Winnipeg...it's not the same as the real deal, for me.  Although, being drunk would probably make it better.

Like I said, it's not the same. But you can't go and play 18 holes on a real course at 6:30pm when you work downtown in a big city.

Yeah, and you still get to work on your swing. Games are much shorter too.

I'd probably prefer a golf simulator.  That way I could blame my wicked slice on a computer glitch or them dang internets.

The local public course you linked before in HK is pretty nice, and it's not THAT expensive for the only public course in the area. $90-$100 USD per 18, on par with some lower spectrum high end courses.

And it's 3 courses, so you're not gonna be on the same course every round.  Good value for a tourist spot.
