Oh it is, but it still seems crazy high.

I understand the cba is what it is. But the 5th year option for rookie QB's is ending up significantly more than the best non QB in the leagues making

That's quite amusing. The '85 SB was the first football game I ever watched - it was a big thing in the UK because I have a feeling it was the first one ever broadcast live there - so I had no frame of reference as to who or what was good. My only memory of that game is of the Bears being absolutely dominant and The Fridge being the only player anyone cared about because he'd been all over the front page of the tabloids all week, because no one in the UK really had seen an athlete built like him. It's only in subsequent years I've learned that apparently McMahon wasn't actually a very good quarterback; I've never gone back and watched the game again. Maybe I should.
