Doesn't matter he should shut his fat freaking mouth. A simple no comment would suffice. But asking for a comment is like waving a cheeseburger in front of his fat freaking face.

He was our coach, lets not forget he definitely was directly asked about amaro and had those two bites taken out of context. That's what always happened when he was here.

Maybe it's about time he started responding with, "I'm the head coach of the Buffalo Bills, I'm not here to talk about other teams' players. You want to ask me questions about the Jets, you can do it in November when we play them. Next."

So our 2nd round picks didn't go bad until the mid 80s:

1980: Darrol Ray, S--not bad, played a few years
1981: Marion Barber, Sr, FB--injured rookie camp, special teamer for a few years
1982: Reggie McElroy, OT--started a few years after Chris Ward left, average
1983: Johnny Hector, RB, solid 10-year career all with the Jets
1984: Jim Sweeney, C--good longtime starter at C, about 10 years

Gets bad around here, with a few exceptions:
1985: Lester Lyles, CB--mostly played special teams, got burned a lot when at CB
1986: Doug Williams, OT--didn't make the team, played 9 career games for Houston in 1986-87
1987: Alex Gordon, LB--played a couple years, didn't do much
1988: Terry Williams, CB--don't even remember him on the Jets
1989: Dennis Byrd, DT--great potential career cut short
1990: Reggie Rembert, WR--never played a game for the Jets
1991: Browning Nagle, QB--briefly a bad starting QB
1992: Kurt Barber, LB--stayed a couple years, didn't do much
1993: Coleman Rudolph, DE--knee injury rookie year
1994: Ryan Yarborough, WR--played for 4 teams, 44 career catches
1995: Matt O'Dwyer, OG--starter for 4 years
1996: Alex Van Dyke, WR--first pick of 2nd round, 26 career receptions
1997: Rick Terry, DT--lasted until 1998
1998: Dorian Boose, DE—nondescript 3 seasons with Jets
1999: Randy Thomas, OG—good 4-year starter with Jets, moved on
2000: no 2nd round pick, traded to SF (Jason Webster, CB)
2001: Lamont Jordan, RB—good behind Curtis Martin, moved on to mediocrity
2002: Jon McGraw, S—ok for a few years, never became the next Lynch
2003: Victor Hobson, LB—average for a while
2004: no 2nd round pick, traded to Tennessee (Travis LaBoy, LB)
2005: Mike Nugent, K—good career, mostly not for us
2006: Kellen Clemens, QB—career backup
2007: David Harris, LB—good career all with Jets so far
2008: no 2nd round pick, traded to Green Bay (Jordy Nelson, WR)
2009: no 2nd round pick, traded to Cleveland (David Velkune, DE)
2010: Vladimir Ducasse, OT—never panned out
2011: no 2nd round pick, traded to San Diego (Jonas Mouton, LB)
2012: Stephen Hill, WR—45 career receptions, 4 TD, 2 in 1st game
2013: Geno Smith, QB—inconsistent, now hurt
2014: Jace Amaro, TE—IR for the year
2015: Devin Smith, WR—injured in 1st practice

The next pick they make could be a Hall of Famer, who cares.

We've drafted two Hall of Famers in our history, Tannenbaum drafted Revis and got fired.

Tannenbaum also destroyed our cap.

So because he drafted Revis he deserves a job forever? No matter how much he stunk up the joint his last 3 years?

Your statement sounds like the Jets fired him because he drafted a Hall of Famer. lol

Ok, but that has little to do with my overall point, which is a 30 year run of failure in the second round of the draft.

"So what" is you were just complaining yesterday about mediocrity. The second round is pretty high in the draft and 30 years is a pretty long time to keep getting little or nothing out of it.

I don't like mediocrity which is why I wanted Tannenbaum and Rex fired. A draft record from 30 years back means nothing to me. It's just a coin flip. If you flip a coin and it lands on tails 30 times in a row, the next flip is still 50/50 to be heads. Conversely because the Jets have had bad luck with 2nd's means crap the next time they pick in the 2nd.

It's not just from 30 years back. It starts 30 years back and takes us right up through Geno, Simple Jace and now Devin Smith.

Smith? He had an injury and it wasn't a massive one.
