Mike Garafolo: 

Jets are working out QB Josh Johnson today, sources say. Johnson was cut by the Bengals this week and drew interest from the Browns.

I haven't seen him since his days in TB. I felt he never got a fair shake and deserved more of an opportunity.

Can't hurt , more ceiling than the rest of the usual suspects.

At worst a gadget player who can sling a decent play action pass

I just remember seeing him and thinking with a solid cast n good coach he shpuld be a 3rd qb on any roster amd a good backup

Dunno how he's taken care of himself the last few years though

He went to 3 different schools and failed to hold on to the starting job at all 3. He also doesn't have the measurables where you'd want to develop him for the long haul. I've heard he's a good guy but he's not an NFL QB and I think people would rather give reps elsewhere.
