Perhaps a new thread is needed for a new season but I didn't see one so whatever. Loving English soccer in these first couple weeks of the season. Something hilarious about Mou and Chelsea being mid-table right now while Claudio Ranieri and Leicester are sitting pretty.

Never thought I'd say this about a Ranieri team, but this City squad is fun to watch.

Totally unbiased and impartial assessment of Leicester from you.

I can tell the board they have some of the best curry houses in England. I can't comment on the hoo-ha but JE seems to be an authority here.

I will never forgive them for cheating their way to promotion in 2003 under that poisonous lady garden Micky Adams.

And Bradford is better for curry.

Fiorentina opened with a 2-0 win over AC Milan. So far so good.
So it turns out, Italian Seafood was right an everyone can go freak themselves.

Got to see Drogba live for the first time tonight.  Galaxy handled him really well for the most part, but only a blown chance kept him out of goal eventually.  Blown chances all over the place for Galaxy in a 0-0 draw.  Kind of a big blow to Supporters Shield hopes.

Robert Lewandowski scored 5 goals in 9 minutes for Bayern after coming on as a sub in the 46th minute.

The last time a player scored 5 goals in any game in the Bundesliga was 24 years ago.

Liverpool fired Brendan Rodgers. Shame really, that obnoxious lady garden was perfectly suited to such a cunty club.

Big games in MLS tonight.  I don't know if there are any Red Bulls fans on here.

I don't support an MLS club, but I love the way the league is growing.  When Atlanta gets its club, that will be who I support.  Should be able to go to a lot of games.

A buddy of mine who moved to Portland almost 20 years ago has been a season ticket holder for the Timbers for more than a decade. He's a huge supporter and is very passionate about the team. He brought me back a Timbers Army shirt earlier this year so if I want any MLS team to succeed, it's them.

I'm going to be rooting for them to get their asses beat next Sunday.  They come to LA and Galaxy at least has a shot at a bye and home field in MLS Cup if Red Bulls falter.
