I'm going to some kid's birthday party tomorrow morning, and I'm pretty sure I won't know anyone there. I'm not even sure how my wife knows these people. How do I cope?

He's a gov't employee, it expressly states in the employees manual that he's not to converse with others, unless it's combative in nature.

Talking to strangers might not be as bad as reading Puck's shitposts.

It was at 10 AM at a less shitty local version of Chuck E. Cheese. No booze. I just held my son and looked busy with him.

What an awful party

Brilliant strategy though.

Serious question for the guys who have become dad's recently. Did you read anything or take any of these pre birth classes? My gut tells me we don't need to do many of them but maybe I'm wrong?

We took one at the hospital for the first kid.  It's not a make or break deal, but the best part was actually learning about what to expect with the process.  Not just breathing techniques, but how the timeline typically goes in the hospital.  It was helpful for us.  Cuts down on the surprises when the big day comes.
