Fine, call it terrorism. Call it right-wing or white-terrorism. Let's perpetuate the myth that whitey is out to get black people, because that's all that will accomplish. Bleeding hearts will be all up in people's faces about it, people who don't necessarily hold racist views will start doing so out of resentment because of all the bullshit accusations, and we're going to repeat this cycle over and over again. Society will remain extremely sensitive about everything, and any actual honest debate about race will become practically impossible.
We always have to label excrement and group people together. It's always a (group) vs (group). And it'll never end.
I'm pretty sure no one is calling it white terrorism. They're calling it terrorism. And did you hear the response from the victims' families? The ones who went to trial today and said that they're going to return his hatred with love because he's trying to start a race war? I suspect this will have a different response than police action. It's not systemic. Unless more of these "white terrorists" as you call them emerge, I think you'll see some solidarity condemning the acts. People like Lindsey Graham who deny what happened or downplay it are the ones doing damage here. Especially when they try to spin it as anti-Christian attacks after the guy claimed it was racially motivated.
It was a fanatic acting on a dangerous ideology. That's terrorism. You're so afraid to label excrement when it threatens you, but you're perfectly content to do so when it's convenient.
And it's a myth that all white people are out to get black people. It's not a myth that the system perpetuates the degradation of the black man. It's also not a myth to suggest that most people don't want to see that changed. Not really.
