Thomas Rawls to the Cowboys.  Great landing spot for him.  Should get a chance to play.

he'll probably sign a one year deal somewhere with weak OL and hope to earn a starting spot ASAP
Quote
Profootballtalk reports LSU G/T La'El Collins "plans to sign with a team after he is cleared."
It's really Collins' only option, so it's not surprising. Collins is meeting with Baton Rouge police on Monday. Assuming that meeting goes the way it's supposed to, he could have an NFL team as early as Monday evening.

As expected. Who has the weakest OL in the league right now? Indy? If I were Indy I would go so hard after him...

But hopefully Duff does some magic and convinces him Giacomini is a pushover...
Need a new one for a new board...

Reese Dismukes not being drafted was a mild surprise. Supposedly, there are some character concerns.

Grigson lucked into a can't miss QB, maybe he'll luck into a really good OL prospect, too.

It's not lucky if Collins decides to sign with them over everyone else.

Rawls actually got signed by the Seahawks... where he'll be buried behind Lynch, Turbin, and Christine Michael.

It's a little bit of luck. Every team will want him. Every team will be able to pay him about the same. You just hope Collins picks your team in that scenario

It's very similar to free agency.  There's lots of recruiting going on.  If Grigson and Indy's coaching staff get him to sign, that isn't lucky.  They out negotiated everyone else.

You plan for free agency months in advance. You don't plan for a potential 1st-round offensive lineman becoming a UDFA because he's connected to a murder trial he may have nothing to do with. I'm sure there's recruiting going on, but paying a UDFA hundreds of thousands of dollars is way different than paying a free agent tens of millions of dollars.

There's a big difference between leaving say $5 million guaranteed on the table to sign somewhere as opposed to say $2,000.
