Best draft since 2006.

That's my grade.

First five picks are outstanding.  The trade that got us Brandon Marshall and Zac Stacy has to be factored in as well.

The only pick that really doesn't stand out is Deon Simon, but what else can we expect from a 7th round pick?

First time in a while that I'm supporting a majority of Jets draft picks instead of defending them.
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

I graded B just because it's too early to accurately grade. It looks awesome on paper, but I'm biased anyway.

If he was able to go to the combine, he'd probably be off the board by now.  The injuries screwed him.

Agreed, and that draft had kellen Clemens at 2 and Schlegel at 3

Best draft since 2006.

The only draft that holds a candle to 2006 since then is 2007 which was only because we draft two elite cornerstones in Revis and Harris.

Which is part of the reason we've been terrible. Horrific drafting since 2007 with only two premier first rounders really working out in Mo and Sheldon with the occasional mid-rounder working out like Jeremy Kerley.

In summary we did some very good (for what we expect will happen) things this weekend. Here's hoping we really get the production out of these guys we hope too.

But yeah IMO easily trumps everything since 2007, but to beat 2007 will be pretty damn hard.
Need a new one for a new board...

The only thing I wish we did during the draft (and didn't) was add a running back with speed.

We got arguably the best overall player in the draft, the best deep threat in the draft, a relentless outside linebacker who we can groom behind Pace, a developmental quarterback who can compete for the starting job in a year or two, and a very talented interior lineman who could compete for a starting job sooner rather than later.

I'd call that a successful draft.
